The baffle tank is used for filtering honey. It is made entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel and is fitted with a ball valve. It is placed under the honey extractor outlet to receive the honey directly. Above the tank there is a thick perforated mesh filter that retains the larger parts of impurities that honey contains on its first exit from the extractor. Inside the tank there are 5 heated vertical bulkheads that carry out a further cleaning of the residual impurities in the honey before it is taken from the pump and brought to the ripener. The thermostat gives the possibility to adjust the temperature of the cavity between the bulkheads.
